We pride ourselves in designing and installing a landscape that meets your needs and dreams. It's rewarding to take a project from bare soil to your private oasis that we envision together. We believe in spending the extra time to draw a landscape design for our clients as a way to work through ideas before we hit the ground with shovels.
Landscaping since 1979 in Big Bear, it's not often that we run into a situation or goal that we haven't already experienced and resolved. All of our crew leaders have 10-20 years of experience with us and know the Nativescapes way to get things done. It's rare for us to leave a job without our crews receiving compliments for their work ethic and polite nature.
We stock a plant nursery and landscape materials at our yard exclusively for our clients and we encourage you to come in and browse through our flowers, shrubs, trees, boulders etc. for your project. This guarantees you getting exactly what you want.
Trees have been in my blood since I was a teenager. I did volunteer work for the US Forest Service until I was old enough to get a job with them. A lot of my local tree knowledge started there working in their timber division. After I left the US Forest Service I did contract tree planting for them that evolved into a landscape business here in Big Bear. I still maintain the landscape of my first client that I worked for in 1979. I started growing our native trees from seed back then and shortly thereafter bought equipment so I could transplant larger trees. I continue to grow trees locally for our landscapes so there is no question about them adapting to our local climate.
As Big Bear has grown so has Nativescapes and our experience in all aspects of landscaping. I am a third generation contractor which may explain the easy fit into starting and running my own business. Through the years I became a Certified Arborist (tree doctor) , a qualified applicator, Timber operator along with my state landscape contractors license. We do all styles of landscaping in Big Bear to match your interest but I will always encourage you to keep a mountain feel to your yard which is probably why you are seeking Nativescapes to design and development what is native to our Big Bear landscape.
